Cut four pieces of 16-by-16-by-1-inch pieces of wood using a circular to create the side and saw pieces separators. Cut two pieces of 46-by-16-by-1-inch pieces of wood to the top and the bottom of the bench. Cut a piece of 46-by-16-by-3/4-inch plywood to return the mudroom bench. Create a rectangle of two of the side pieces and the top and bottom piece. Rest the four pieces of 1 inch sides. Put the cut end of the side pieces against the long side of the upper and lower parts. Wood applies glue where the parts are. Hammer 2-inch nails through the top and bottom cut in the edges of the side pieces. Place a nail every 4 inches.
